Before being removed from the donor vehicle, our BMW engines are tested using dealership diagnostics systems.

We carry out an in-depth diagnostic test to check for any fault codes such as oil pressure faults, camshaft to crankshaft reference and misfire faults.

After these checks are carried out, our engines are run up to temperature (when possible) and
closely inspected by our experienced staff.

Once we’re confident our used BMW engines are in full working order, they’re professionally removed by our trained members of staff.

From here, we’ll remove the rocker cover from the cylinder head and fit our timing tool into place to check for any wear and tear.

If there’s any more than 10mm tolerance within the chain, it’s replaced with a new timing chain kit.

As BMW specialists, we know how important the timing chain kit is when it comes to the functionality and longevity of the engine.

When required, we only fit the highest quality timing chain kits. You won’t find us fitting a cheap version from eBay to cut costs.

We understand that it’s not always feasible for the engine to be fitted by our workshop. We’re able to offer fast, nationwide shipping on all our used BMW engines and gearboxes.

Our running gear is drained of any oil, strapped securely to a pallet, and delivered directly to your garage of choice.

All engines are supplied with a minimum 3-month warranty. We’re confident that after our rigorous testing and thorough checks, that your vehicle will be up and running properly.

However, should any issues arise, we’re more than happy to talk it through with your mechanic and if required, recover the vehicle into our own BMW Specialist workshop.

Our engines are supplied as a short / bare engine (without ancillaries). This is because many ancillaries differ between the models, such as turbos, injectors, sensors, manifolds etc.

Therefore, it’s always best practice to fit the ancillaries from your original engine to ensure your replacement runs correctly. It also keeps the cost to a minimum, as you’re not paying for something that isn’t required.

However, if you do require any additional BMW parts, such as turbos or injectors, we’re able to offer these at a discounted price with any engine purchase.

• We require all engines to be turned over by hand prior to fitment to guarantee the cylinders are free of any material.
• For vehicles recovered into our workshop and any issues found which are due to poor fitment, a charge will be issued to rectify any poor workmanship by other garages / mechanics.
• Warranty of the engines starts from the date of accepted delivery.
• The warranty covers the engine only, it does not cover any associated labour costs.
